New Video: Z3TA+ 2 shreds on a Misa Kitara digital guitar controller

The folks at Misa Digital recently posted a few videos showing off the sounds of Z3TA+ 2 played on their flagship Kitara digital guitar.  Check it out!

“Here I connect the kitara to the cakewalk z3ta+ 2 software synthesizer. Basically, the kitara becomes an extension to the synth, as a new way to control it.

The glide/portamento of a synth is a very overlooked aspect of synthesizers, especially from a guitar synth perspective. The idea behing this video is to show how you can get a more “sequencer” type sound using the kitara’s onboard sustain functionality.

In this video the kitara is tuned to E3, A4, D5, G5, B5, E6 (notice bottom E is an extra octave lower). Also, tap mode is on, and the sustain function should be enabled.

Ps. I actually took this riff from one of the z3ta showcase sequences, because I thought it sounded awesome!” – Misa Digital

“Playing in sync with a delay effect can really make the sound more interesting.  In this video the kitara is tuned to E3, A4, D5, G5, B5, E6 (notice bottom E is an extra octave lower).” – Misa Digital

“In this video the kitara is tuned to E3, A4, D5, G5, B5, E6 (notice bottom E is an extra octave lower). You also need to set the kitara’s MIDI controls as follows:
1. BALL_X = CC16
2. BALL_Y = CC17
3. TOUCH_X = CC18

And on the z3ta synth, set filter cutoff to CC16 and filter resonance to CC17 (you do this by right clicking on the control knobs).” – Misa Digital
