Cakewalk’s Seth Perlstein was on hand at the annual Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, California to demonstrate SONAR’s role in sound design and sound editing for video games.
In the video above, Seth shows how to sync sound effects to video clips using SONAR 8.5’s Audiosnap time-stretching tool with the V-Studio 700 console as a DAW controller. Learn how to create your own sound effects using Cakewalk’s new A-PRO 300 keyboard along side SONAR 8.5’s arsenal of instruments and effects including Session Drummer 3, Rapture, and Perfect Space convolution reverb.
Slow and steady may win the race but it does not make creating music on the computer any easier!
Accelerate your music-making experience on the PC with more power and better stability, check out Intel’s new Core i7 Extreme Edition Processor. Code-named “Gulftown” the Core i7 980x is the first 32nm, six-core processor with 12 computing threads! In short, it brings a whole new level of performance to your computer’s workload. See the video below, produced for the Core i7 980x’s launch, at last week’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, CA.
“The Core i7 Extreme and SONAR 8.5 equals UNBELIEVABLE performance.”
This fall, Cakewalk, Intel Corporation and Ourstage set out to inspire music lovers across the country to get creative and share their musical talents for the “Your Music Anytime, Anyplace” Songwriting Competition. The most outstanding artists and engaged fans on the Ourstage circuit were outfitted with a brand new mobile music studio! Today, we are proud to announce those winners as part of the NAMM Show 2010.
At the 2009 Intel Developer Forum, Dave Graveline of “Into Tomorrow” – the consumer electronics & technology radio show – interviewed Cakewalk’s Vice President of Marketing Carl Jacobson on the new Core i7 mobile processor and its benefits when using SONAR for music production.
Visit Into Tomorrow’s website to listen to the clip (labeled Hour 1, you’ll find it half way down the page on the right hand side). Hello everyone, last week was an exciting week for us with Cakewalk being featured and spotlighted by Intel in a number of ways.
By now, it shouldn’t be any secret that SONAR is the technology leading digital audio workstation. We’ve been first to support all of Microsoft’s operating systems for the last 12 years, and we’ve been first to support so many of Intel’s technological developments: hyperthreading, multiprocessor machines, multicore processing, 64-bit x64 processing and others. And our support for these technologies have not just been pioneering, both Intel and Microsoft recognize SONAR as one of the best examples of a software product supporting them. Last June, Cakewalk was the only audio company named a finalist in Microsoft’s Global ISV Partner Awards and last week, Intel honored Cakewalk by making us the only audio company featured in the launch of their new Mobile Core i7 Processor and the keynote presentations at their IDF Conference.
