Produced Albums With SONAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/noelborthwick.com\/cakewalk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/wk-perry-by-kelly-marin.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1997\" title=\"wk-perry-by-kelly-marin\" src=\"https:\/\/noelborthwick.com\/cakewalk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/wk-perry-by-kelly-marin-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"125\" \/><\/a>Did you know that the Party Animal \/ Rock Star Andrew W.K. is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cakewalk.com\/products\/sonar\/\" target=\"_blank\">SONAR<\/a> user? \u00a0With the exception of his 2006 release &#8216;Close Calls With Brick Walls,&#8217; W.K. has recorded all of his albums using SONAR. \u00a0As told to <em>EQ<\/em>, &#8220;I really liked working with SONAR because I could have multiple regions of audio in one track and overlap them to make this collage of waveforms&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Brick Walls&#8217; proved to be a change from the usual for W.K. as he literally stepped outside the &#8216;walls&#8217; of his software to collaborate in real time with the legendary <em>Rastafarian<\/em> Lee &#8216;Scratch&#8217; Perry. &#8216;He is the first person I have met who truly uses magic in the studio,&#8217; states W.K. The pair jammed out a whole album with the help a few mics and a small group of session musicians to play the backing tracks.
