Some of us stay on the same systems because that is the workflow we like and abide by. But, if you have been meaning to spend the several hours, day, or days that it takes to upgrade your operating system then take the time in August to do that. Put a fresh copy of the new operating system on your machine, install all of your plugins, samples, and recording software. September is the month to treat yourself to something new. Lots of new hardware, plugins, and DAWs are released at this time of year. Buy yourself something that will benefit your studio and creative workflow. The best thing you can do is continue growing your studio as you get more work.
