\"\"<\/a>Are you ready to rock? Last week, over sixty campers said yes, and so did we, when Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp<\/a> opened its new\u00a0facility\u00a0just off the Strip in Las Vegas, NV.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp lets musicians live out their rock and roll dreams by being a part of a rock band that’s led by a real rock star. They get to jam and learn from these rock star counselors as well as record their performances, living out their fantasies both on stage and in studio.<\/p>\n

The ‘Camp’s new digs featured a performance room with a twenty foot stage, a thirty foot green screen, and ten rehearsal\/ recording rooms. Each rehearsal\/ recording room was outfitted with all the gear a rocker could wish for, including a Roland GA-112<\/a> guitar amp, Roland RD-700NX<\/a> digital piano, an HP Z1<\/a> or HP\u00a0Z220<\/a> workstation, HP ZR30w<\/a> monitors, dual Roland Octa-Captures<\/a> running in VS Expanded mode, and SONAR X2 Producer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The HP Z1s and HP ZR30ws have extremely high resolutions of 2560×1440 and 2560×1600, and if you’ve never seen SONAR on a display like that before, its worth clicking the picture to the left to get a bigger view. That’s a lot of console strips!<\/p>\n

But the fun didn’t stop there.<\/p>\n

Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp partnered with the MGM Grand hotel and casino this time around and had two performance\/ recording studios on the floor of the MGM’s casino. These studios were tweaked versions of the aforementioned setups but also featured Roland’s TD-30KV<\/a> V-Drums, M300<\/a> digital mixing system, and M48<\/a> live personal mixer.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The first day of camp was concluded with a private party\/ concert at the MGM’s Tabu nightclub where many of the rock star counselors played, including Lita Ford, Teddy Andreadis, Rod Morgenstein, Phil Soussan, Kane Roberts, Kip Winger, and more.<\/p>\n

However, the rock star counselors weren’t the\u00a0only<\/em> ones to rock. Roland’s Chris Halon, Tim Root, and Gary Lenaire took the stage and rocked the house, as evidenced by the video below.<\/p>\n
